What is Women Entrepreneurs?

Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area - or "WE" - was formed in 1998 by a small group of women who knew that women business owners needed to connect with one another. Within a half a year, the group had grown from 12 to 80 members, and now numbers over 90. WE's mandate is to provide a forum in which all women in Cornwall and the surrounding Area may benefit.

Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area Present Bursaries

At our June 23 , 2011 meeting the Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area were able to present 3 candidates with a $300 bursary each to contribute to their post secondary education this year.

After careful consideration of numerous applicants the recipients selected were Pamela Delage-St. Jean, Emilie Brown and Carley Alexander.

Pamela Delage is attending University of Ottawa pursuing a Criminology Degree.

Emilie Brown is attending the University of Ottawa pursuing a Criminology Degree and Carley Alexander is attending Western University (London) pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. We wish them all the best and members of the Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area were happy to contribute to their futures.
